on the road this weekend, staying at a cabin for a little family r&r before the snow flies. A perfect time to try out the new travel lather bowl. I’ve been playing with this design for a while and I finally got it where I want. The bowl is a great size and has a threaded lid to keep everything contained. Inside there is a matching insert to carry a razor and blades (new and spent). Pair this with the travel brush tube and you are ready to enjoy the luxury shave experience on the go.
And speaking of luxury shave experience, today was a good one. I grabbed a few samples to go this weekend. Today’s #samplesaturday is cedar, sweetgrass and Vetiver from eleven. The scent is exactly as described, I pick out all the notes. Scent is a bit subtle but comes out nicely when lathered. It loaded and lathered easily and was a nice silky lather. Slickness, cushion, residual slickness and postshave were all really good. A fantastic shave. This isn’t a scent I would normally gravitate to but given the soap base I may have to examine the other offerings.
All in all, a great start to the long weekend.
