I finally found it! I had been on the hunt for quite some time for the Noble Otter set that was a keeper. I’ve always enjoyed the base, the packaging and the artisan but the scents have never been wins for me. The ones I really enjoyed were always a bit light for me, but I really wanted to have Noble Otter represented in my den. When I saw this collaboration with Imaginary Authors, an artisan perfumer, I figured it was worth the risk. Boy am I glad I pulled the trigger. Not very often will I use the same setup two days in a row, but I’m on day number 3 with this setup. So damn good.
The scent on Telegrama is what I would call a modern take on a throw-back style barbershop. You get a sense of the old-school aftershave splashes from days gone by but it doesn’t come across as dated at all. Scent notes are Talc, Lavender Absolute, Black Pepper, Teak, Amyris, Vanilla Powder and Fresh Linens. It comes across powdery with a bit of sweetness, a touch of floral and enough spicey woodsiness underneath to take away feminine vibes. The fresh linen isn’t overpowering, it just subtly sits there to add a fresh and clean edge. I love this scent, it is in the running for best barbershop in my den…. and I have a lot of them. I enjoyed it so much I grabbed a travel size EDT of the Imaginary Authors fragrance.
Happy to have found this and if you are a fan of barbershop scents I highly recommend you get your nose on this.
