Frustrating shaving this morning, the brush let me down. This was my second go with this Yaqi boar and it was shedding like crazy. I had boar hair all over the sink. The lack of backbone was also troubling. I was having trouble building a lather, not sure if it is the soap (I don’t have a lot of P&B experience and this is a recent addition) or if it was the brush giving me all the grief. I love the look of the brush but the performance was awful. I’ll give it another couple goes but if it continues to be poor, I may make it a re-knot project. I ended up picking up my Yaqi synthetic to finish the shave (with a face lather, the bowl was that full of crap). At least the save was saved by a great razor and fantastic blade.
