I hope Christmas was fantastic to everyone! I was lucky enough to get a huge assortment of products to try out from a secret Santa (Thanks Joel). Today from the Santa gift I used the Semoque boar brush, the l&l harmony, and the Tallow and Steel Classic to finish.
First off, I’m going to like this brush once it breaks in. I love the look of it, it has a classic feel, it had a nice backbone and the perfect weight. I cant wait til it is fully broken in. The soap was a no for me. I have used l&l previously without issue but something in this soap was giving me a reaction. Two passes and I had to switch it up. (A grabbed a Prorasso Red tube to finish up). I also had trouble lathering it. I couldn’t get the balance of soap/water correct today. And the scent is a lot like an incense smell which I very much disliked. So this one will move to the no pile. Like I said, I’ve used L&L before with great results, so I wouldn’t hesitate to give product a try, this one just wasn’t for me.
Lastly I finished up with the T&S Classic. It was a really nice scent. For me I picked up kind of a spicy orange vibe. I think it would pair very well with the RazoRock Son of Zeus rub I had. It was nice and soothing with 0 burn. A aeally nice finish.
