#samplesaturday and today I get to try two new products ๐
First, is a new Thirsty Badger brush scuttle. We just unloaded the kiln yesterday (be patient, we have new bowls, scuttles and couple other goodies coming once photography is complete). I snatched up this one to give it a go. My pictures don’t do this one justice, it is a dark almost cobalt colour with a copper shimmer to it. A new glaze we tried and it is a big win. The way the scuttle works it you fill the base with the hottest water possible (boiling if you can). The top you fill with hot water and soak your brush as normal. Then once you are set on lathering, you sit the empty top cup inside the base of hot water. In between lathering you sit the brush back in the cup and it keeps your lather warm. I typically don’t face lather but this was a nice change. Warm lather for each pass, what a treat.
For the shave soap, I used this new Zingari Man Mariner sample I received in my recent package. To lather this, I worked a bit of the sample on my face like one would a shave stick and did a face lather. The performance on this soap is fantastic. Tough to believe it is vegan. I got a nice glossy and cushioning lather. Plenty of slickness and a fantastic post shave feel. The scent on this is a subtle aquatic scent, Marine, Ozone and Lime. I found the lime note most prominent off the sample but once lathered the marine and ozone really take over. If you like a subtle aquatic scent you will not be disappointed with this new line. (well you might be, it was released yesterday and may already be sold out.)
A great shave to start the weekend. Lots of new things to upload to the site so stay tuned to see what is in store.
