Another day, another Club/A&E offering I’m a huge fan of. I’m starting to sound like a broken record but so many of Peter’s releases have been a big win for me. His aftershave and soap bases are both elite level fantastic. If you don’t have one in the den, you are really missing out. You just need to find a scent and he has an abundance of strong ones.
Many of Peter’s scents are grounded in high end niche fragrances. This one gets it’s DNA from Amouage Reflection Man. I can’t say I’ve smelled that before but if it smells like this I can see why it is so popular. Scent notes on this are rosemary, red pepper, berries, bitter orange leaves, orris, jasmine, ylang ylang, vetiver, patchouli, tobacco absolute, hint of whiskey, sandalwood, cedarwood, musk. This is a perfectly blended cologne. It has a slightly woody and musky vibe with a hint of floral and booziness. Scent strength on this is strong, several hours after the shave I am still reeking of awesomeness. I would skip this on office days but it would be perfect for date nights and the like. It is a winner for sure.
The razor I used today was the Ikon 102 slant. I got this in a trade recently so I put down the straights and gave it a go. I was surprised that this was on the mild side, it didn’t have a lot of blade exposure. I got a really smooth shave, an exceptional shave actually. I can say that it wasn’t the most efficient as several hours later I can tell I didn’t get the closest one. Oh well, maybe I’ll have a 2 shave day 🙂
