This is a set I had to have since the moment I caught the scent. Unfortunately the location I was at only carried the soap. My hunt began and luckily Last week I was able to find a gentleman willing to swap the after shave as well.
First off, I love Tallow + Steel packaging. High quality labels and high end looking tubs. They also recently added scent notes with percentages which I really appreciate. It is touches like this that makes it easier to justify the higher price point. The soap base is fantastic and is scented with essential oils. It is perfect for those with fragrance sensitivities. Yuzu, Cypress, Cedar, Perilla, Green Tea, Sea Kelp combine for a wonderfully complex scent. I get the citrus and cedar notes right off the top and the minty tea/kelp rounds it out and gives it a very unique profile. As big win. An easy load and lather gives a slightly tinted and super slick result. Great slickness and post shave feel. Followed up with the aftershave, a perfect scent match with a high skin food formula. An all around and great shave! If highly recommend this set, if you can find this limited edition set, do yourself a favour, pick it up.
