Razor: Gillette Tech
Soap: Mickey Lee Soapworks Unforgiven
Aftershave: Mickey Lee Soapworks Unforgiven
Other: Thirsty Badger lather bowl
Today was the last day of #westernweek. I have been saving this one for today, Mickey Lee Soapworks Unforgiven. This is my first experience with a MLS soap and I wasn’t disappointed. The packaging, quality of lather, scent strength, post shave, all were really nice. MLS describes this as smooth, warm rosewood, smoky birch tar, amber, patchouli, sandalwood, and a hint of caramel undertones. Even without the common tobacco, gun powder, leather notes, this still gives a distinct old west vibe and sets it apart from the other #westernweek offerings. It has that smoky birch tar/rosewood opening and settles down to the amber/patchouli/sandalwood finish. Scent strength off the soap was stronger than the aftershave, which worked out to be a great balance for me. It lathered like a dream in the Thirsty Badger lather bowl and the trusty Gillette Tech made for a quick and efficient 3 pass shave. A great way to finish up #westernweek. I hope everyone enjoyed following along.
