#samplesaturday Today I pulled this sample of Packet’s Prize by Collin’s Trade & Supply (Spiffo). I received a few samples in my Spiffo order and hadnt had a chance to give them a go yet. The scent profile on this is Frankincense (sweet, warm, spicy), Peppermint and Benzoin (vanilla, sweet). To me, like most peppermint soaps, I have trouble getting anything significant other than the peppermint. I can get a bit of vanilla and a bit of spice that softens the peppermint a touch. A nice blend, just not a scent profile I’d typically grab for.
The soap itself performed quite well, especially for a vegan base. Lathering was quite easy with a small sample in the bowl (oh yes, that is a new lather bowl….. more on that in a bit). The lather had really good protection, nice slickness and adequate post shave. Scent strength is mid-mid strong but I find all peppermint based soaps to be that way. A soap worth looking at for your den. I have another scented sample I’m looking forward to trying in a future shave.
And lastly, the lather bowl….. it’s a new Thirsty Badger lather bowl. One of many we will be adding to the store in coming days. They just need to be photographed and added to the website, so keep watch for lots of cool new items.
