I was shipping out a few things to a friend in the USA this week and decided to set him up with a bunch of samples from Canadian artisans. One of the soaps I sampled to him was Soapy Bathman Bonsai and after opening the tub, I was reminded how much I liked the scent. I had to give it a go.
Bonsai is a slightly sweet, slightly woody scented soap/balm. Scent notes are Ginger, Bergamot, Sandalwood, Grapefruit and Evergreen. It is a nice blend, quite unique and refreshing. The Ginger/Grapefruit/Bergamot all pop up front to me. Strength is on the stronger side of medium. Soapy Bathman makes an excellent soap with great slickness, cushion and post shave. Unfortunately it appears he is on a hiatus at this time. There is still a few vendors with product in stock so I suggest picking one up to check his stuff out.
