Razor: Karve CB on D
Blade: Wilkinson Sword
Brush: Wild West Brushworks Bobcat
Soap: Uncle Jon’s Gravity
I wasn’t planning on posting today but I had such a great shave I just had to. With the bitter winter we’ve been having here lately I wanted a pick me up. I grabbed this Gravity soap. Notes of Crisp Alpine Air, Mandarin, Cardamom, Vetiver, Suede, Vanilla, and Teakwood. To me, this scent just reminds me of vacation, scent that carries with you after a vacation at the beach. A fresh air cologne scent and today the scent just pounced off the lather.
Uncle Jon’s soap isn’t an elite performing soap, I don’t find it ultra slick or a luxurious post. It does lather quite easily and will give more than adequate protection for a shave. I wouldn’t buff without visible lather. It won’t blow you out of the water performance wise but the scents are strong and it is better than any can goo you might find. My only problem I had with the soap today is that I didn’t have the matching aftershave. I was digging the scent and wish I could have carried it a bit longer.
A seriously fantastic shave today with the Karve. 2 passes and I could have been done. A couple touch up spots and BBS.
