A few new pieces of hardware made it’s way to the den this week. I’ve been excited to try this beauty since it arrived. This *gem* of a razor is the Gem Micromatic Bullet Tip. It is a gorgeous little razor. It has a bit of a gold shimmer to it so I don’t know if it used to be solid gold styling with some plating loss, or if the look is by design. The styling sure works for me. It is a twist to open top which is unique as well. I typically don’t care for TTO razors but this just feels solid.
I was very surprised with how mild this razor was. As such, it wasn’t super efficient. I did get a nice clean shave but I definitely needed a full 3 pass shave to clean up. I can also tell it is a new to me razor, I had a few weepers in my typical trouble spots. I’ll see how the next few shaves go to give a final thought, but I’m really happy to have this vintage razor in the den.
Software today was PAA Black Bot….. I don’t need to say a lot about it as I’ve covered it before. I love this set. Vintage musk. Put this on your acquisition list 🙂
