Another catch up shave. Unfortunately I’m having to sit down and write while I’m fighting the stomach flu. I had to take a break from the tenting to recover in a hotel for a few days. Starting to feel human again. It was horrible.
But before I pulled the pin on tenting I got inspired by our campsight to use this Paragon Sunlit Forrest shaving soap. I was surprised as ‘forrest’ type scents tend to be heavy on the pine notes. That is not the case here. This is actually quite a citrus forward scent. Notes (essential oils) are blood orange, cedar, tea tree and lavender. I really get the blood orange and cedar up front with subtle lavender. Tea tree is a note that can take over in a hurry but that isn’t the case here. It is a really nice scent. If you like citrus this could be a big win for you.
The soap performed OK. I won’t comment on it too much as I really didn’t have a great review setup. This was a cold-hard water shave camp side. No cuts, knicks or irritation so no complaints. Look forward to trying this again back home in the den.
