Razor: Joseph Allen & Sons 11/16 near wedge with custom rams horn scales (ala Jason Underwood)
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: Barrister and Mann Cologne Russe
Aftershave: Barrister and Mann Cologne Russe
It’s funny how time can change an opinion. I had received a sample of this a while ago and thought the scent was OK and not for me… and the base was good but not great. I’ve always had a bit of a weird relationship with B&M products, finding the base good but the scents over complicated. Flash forward a few months. I received this as part of a raffle win and it has grown on me completely. Lemon, bergamot, petitgrain, and herbs with violet, rose, bay, and amber. A bit floural, a bit spice. I am now digging the vintage vibe on this one. I have the base dialed in a bit now an I found it performed really well. Nice an slick for another rip with the new straight.
And speaking of the new straight, isnt this guy a beauty? I got this Joseph Allen & Sons near wedge from CWS member Jason Underwood. The custom ram horn scales was all him. I just love how it looks. This is my first wedge and I’m finding a bit of a learning curve to it. It strops different, it shaves different. I did a couple passes today, a few nicks, a few spots I needed to clean up with a DE. No biggy, the price of admission for learning the straights.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
