#samplesaturday and today I pulled this Barrister and Mann sample. I normally dont go for the B&M soaps that often. Performance is never the issue. For me, I tend to find the scent profiles overly complicated. I have had a few sets pass through my den and I end up moving on despite the really nice performance. This one is a definite exception. It smells fantastic. B&M describes it as “notes of lavender, oakmoss, tonka, balsam fir, bergamot, vetiver, geranium, cedar, earth, sandalwood, musk, leather, and tuberose are darkened by the touch of Hell, kissed with the essence of ashes and the smoldering flame.” A little over dramatic perhaps? But hey, it smells fantastic, a really smokey fougere.
Performance was great, much like I would expect out of a B&M soap. It lathered with easy using the Yaqi Silvertip and the Thirsty Badger lather bowl. A fantastic way to start the weekend. Have a great one all!
