It’s FRIDAY. The weekend is almost here. Today I wanted to do a bit of a throw back shave. I was PIFed this PAA soap alongside a recent trade. 11235 is PAA’s homage to 4711, an old school German cologne dating back to the late 1700s. Bergamot, Lemon, Orange, Petitgrain, Neroli, Rosemary, Rose, Musk, Woody Notes. It really feels like a throwback. Citrus/Floural and old school. Soap wise, I was able to get a fantastic lather, which turned in to a fantastic shave. The Ladas blade was great, nice and smooth and the Yaqi is a fantastic little razor. I would skip the coloured model though as I’ve already had some flaking. Luckily I got the alloy handle version as well.
To pair the post shave I continued the old school theme and finished up with the ever classic Clubman Pinaud. Citrus, Powder, Floral and screaming barbershop to me. I matched it up with Van Vulay’s Zephyrus, their play on Clubman. Nice and hydrating. A great finish to the shave, and a great finish to the week.
